What kind of wallet is Untrad?
Untrad is a long wallet that perfectly embodies the "Munekawa-ness."
"I want to store a lot of bills, cards, and coins."
"I want it to be as compact as possible."
"I want it to be easy to take things in and out and check the contents."
The Untrad is designed to take advantage of the benefits of a long wallet while eliminating its drawbacks.

Its greatest feature is the design of the gusset, which has different heights on the left and right sides , making it easy to see the contents at a glance and to take things in and out.

In this photo, you can see that the height of the gussets at the front and back are different.
We adopted this design because by changing the height, the wallet opens wider, making it easier to put things in and take them out .
Untrad production scene
Assembling leather parts without error

Untrad is made up of numerous leather parts, including a 12-card pocket and a billfold.
Parts are cut out from a single piece of leather.
Even the slightest deviation in any one part can result in a large distortion in the final product, so we carefully We assemble it without the slightest deviation.
Untrad's key point: a slim coin purse
Another feature of Untrad is the "thin coin purse."

The wallet is If you put coins in it, it will inevitably become thicker.
Untrad's coin purses have a thin gusset, ensuring ample coin storage without being too thick .
The zippers are also made with a YKK slider that has thin metal handles, and are made with a thorough approach to keeping the bag from becoming too thick.
Sewing and finishing
This is how to sew using a sewing machine.
Sewing is an important process that not only determines the strength of the product, but also has a direct impact on its appearance and impression.

In particular, the zipper part, which is subjected to stress from daily opening and closing, requires high skill and experience.
Once the sewing is complete, the final step is the finishing process.
The edges of the leather, which are the cross sections of the leather, are carefully polished to maximize the beauty of the feel and appearance.
Attention to detail determines the overall quality of the product , so we carefully finish it right down to the last 1%.
What's possible only with small-scale production
At Munekawa, we don't mass produce hundreds of items at once. Our production is based on small-scale production of 30 to 40 items, within the range where we can keep an eye on the items.
This is because we take each product seriously and want to take responsibility for what we create .

Because we create our products at a distance where we can see the makers face to face, we can smoothly handle repairs and inquiries after your purchase.
This is a strength unique to Munekawa, which handles everything from production to sales in a workshop attached to its directly managed stores, and we believe this gives customers a sense of security.
