A Story of Founding
-Founding spirit-
I admired craftsmen who were absorbed in their work, and I wanted to do the same kind of work, so I chose to work in leather goods. I learned most of it on my own, and I was really moved when my products were purchased for the first time at an outdoor flea market. I felt that it was a great job and very satisfying to have customers use what I made and receive money from them. On the other hand, as I continued working, I felt anxious that there was a limit to what one person could do. In a situation where I was doing everything by myself, I could see myself being pushed to my limits if something happened to me or my family, and I would inevitably end up working only to protect myself. As I continued working, my income, labor costs, and skills did not improve, and I was unable to make the things I really wanted to make. I have seen other people in the industry give up halfway through because they could not bear this negative spiral. If you aspire to make things in your one life, you want to improve your skills, make good things, and do work that makes people happy. And I want to continue that state. To achieve this, I came to think that "I need to work as a team, not alone, where we can support each other." By making use of each person's strengths and complementing each other's weaknesses, I can create a virtuous cycle.
I want to do work that makes customers happy and satisfied, and I want to create a life that each and every person I work with can truly enjoy.
This is the founding principle of Munekawa.
We have to notice “Atarimae”
-obvious-
Colleagues who can work together, complement each other's strengths and weaknesses, and share joy. Suppliers who provide a constant supply of materials. Retailers who cooperate with sales. Customers who spend their precious money to buy from us. A workplace where I can use my skills to make and sell things. I must never forget that it is because all of these are in place, without a lack, that I am able to continue my activities.
Munekawa staff realize that this is not something to be taken for granted, and they take it for granted that they will continue to strive to maintain good relationships with others, with a grateful and humble heart.
Philosophy
-Management Philosophy-
Enriching the soul through craftsmanship
Products have the power to make people feel comfortable in their daily lives, to heal their hearts, to give them confidence, and to enrich their hearts. We use our technology to bring out these powers and create products that enrich the hearts of those who use them.
We create products that enrich the hearts of each and every Munekawa member and their family.
