So, I would like to give you a little glimpse into the name engraving process that we normally do in our workshop.

Step 1: Prepare the stamping machine

First, prepare the engraving machine.

At Munekawa, we use a hot stamping machine called the "WT-90AS," which uses heat to stamp the foil.

Place the foil stamping machine on a stable surface and make sure the work surface is level. Adjust the base and turn it on to heat up the foil stamping machine.

Step 2: Setting the type

These are metal type letters arranged in alphabetical order.
We will pick out each character according to the requests we receive from our customers.

Arrange the type in the type holder and secure it firmly in place.

Step 3: Determine the position of the engraving

The holder containing the type is then attached to a heated press and the product is carefully set into place.

At Munekawa, we have a set engraving position for each product. We determine the optimal position so that the engraving is neat and visible without compromising the functionality and impression of the leather product, so we are sure you will like it.

Step 4: Engraving

It's the moment of imprinting.
The pressure should not be too strong or too weak so that the leather is not damaged and the markings are made clearly. Fine-tune the amount of force.

Of course, if we fail, the product can no longer be used, so we carefully and with concentration take the press down to avoid any mistakes.

The engraving was completed successfully and beautifully!

Rules for engraving

• For name engraving, we only use plain stamping, which does not use foil.
• The font is only available in cursive alphabet.
• Maximum 12 characters (maximum 9 characters if all uppercase) Spaces and dots are included in the character count.
• The string cannot be in two lines.

These rules have been devised by us, taking into consideration the structure and balance of the product. Please understand that we may not be able to meet all of your requests.
