Recently, Munekawa published a special page on its website called " Why we value in-house production ."

For brands involved in manufacturing, the words "in-house production" and "handmade" may be like clichés used to highlight quality and attention to detail.
However, for us, in-house production is not simply a selling point; it is a very natural and essential form that supports the core of our brand .
Why do we choose to continue making things with our own hands?
We wanted to convey the reasons and thoughts behind this in our own words, along with the atmosphere of our workshop.
In today's blog, we would like to introduce the thoughts we put into this special feature page and give you a little glimpse of its highlights.

Highlights of the special feature page
In this special feature page, we discuss "Why we value in-house production" from three main perspectives.
1. Maintaining product quality and commitment
Our idea of manufacturing is not something that ends when a product is purchased. We want our products to increase in value as they are handed over to customers and used for many years. We value this type of manufacturing. In this special feature page, we introduce the efforts we make in our workshop every day to "improve quality." We hope you can get a sense of our approach to quality, which cannot be expressed by the word "inspection" alone.
2. Making the customer's wishes come true
How do we create products that are truly easy to use? Our answer is very simple. In the special feature page, we touch on the specific process of how we incorporate customer feedback into product development. Come and experience the origins of our manufacturing.
3. To continue to preserve the unchanging "identity"
As trends change rapidly, what we want to create are sincere, long-loved "classics." Why does our insistence on in-house production help us preserve our "uniqueness"? We explain the reasons in our special feature page. It is also our declaration of determination to our customers that "we are always here."

Why talk about in-house production again now?
Munekawa is a small workshop with only four production staff members, who handle all processes from planning to manufacturing and finishing. We cannot make many products at once. To be honest, I think there are many more efficient ways to do things.

However, we continue to stick to this style because we believe it is the best way to show sincerity to the customers who purchase our products.
We are very happy to be able to convey our thoughts to you through this special feature page.

Munekawa's directly managed store in Daikokucho, Osaka, We have a workshop on the first floor where our production staff greets customers who come to the store. They communicate with customers, creating opportunities for product development and quality improvement, and weaving the future of the Munekawa brand.
If you have an interest in Munekawa after looking at our special feature page, please come and visit our directly managed stores.
We look forward to seeing you there.
